Team Nigeria

Team Nigeria is comprised of two in-country partners and one US partner working together on the Empower Partnerships for Inclusive Communities. The organizations includes Treasureland Health Builders Initiative, Disability Policy & Advocacy Initiative and Initiative for Women with Disabilities.

Treasureland Health Builders Initiative, is a registered nongovernmental organization working to improve the quality of lives of vulnerable groups in Nigeria through empowerment of families and community strengthening as a way to improve their socio-economic capacity to access better health care.

Vision: To progressively sustain effective and efficient systems that will reduce the level of poverty among vulnerable groups.

Mission: “Our mission is to provide services that will enhance the quality of lives of vulnerable groups and thereby increasing life expectancy.”

Mission: “The Initiative for Women With Disabilities Elly & Steve Hammerman Health & Wellness Center is a multidisciplinary center committed to providing respectful, high quality gynecological, medical and wellness services for women and adolescent girls with physical disabilities. This unique center empowers women with physical disabilities to pursue a healthy lifestyle. Health and wellness are central to all IWD components including mind-body fitness classes, nutrition counseling, social work services, and primary care.”
